New Job

Been such a long while since I've let it all out into this blog. Right now I'm sitting at my desk in my new office. What do we do? We're are an event company with other businesses on the side. We do events as well as organize samplings at various shopping malls for many different well known brands. As a newbie (been working for a month), it's been pretty confusing and hectic for me. Which means I gotta learn and pick up stuff real fast. One thing: thank god my boss is not from hell or an assistant of Hades. she's really nice and we have a lot in common. I understand her more than anyone else because I talk like her. She's absolutely hard working and always striving to be the best. The thing is that she's constantly busy and works 7 days a week. She needs a vacation. This company is built on all her hard work. So far I've witnessed 2 of her events and I think they're amazing. It's very nice to be able to see all your hard work paid off when the event is a success.

Anyway, the only thing I'm not a fan of in my job, are the sampling. What we have to do is compile up a long job list and then start calling tons and tons of people and ask if they're interested to work. Thank god I do not have to do it that much. I just type up random sales reports. So that is fine with me. The only problem is that sometimes I get a little bit confuse and mix stuff up. And another problem? I have the worst memory ever. So I have to carry a tiny notebook around writing everything I need to do. Sometimes the job get so crazy that I just go home, take a warm bath n go straight to sleep. I don't even remember the last time I watched TV!!!

Another I enjoy at the office is dressing up my cubicle. The office is all decked in red and white, just like our corporate logo. so went to IKEA to buy a few red stuff to put on my white table. Got a cork board, a red pillow for my chair, and a red and white pot with a pretty plant in it. In my desk drawer I have 2 boxes of Quakers Chewy Cookies & Cream granola bars and Chunky Chocolate granola bars. They taste amazing and with all my work they keep me full and happy. I'm happy with where I am now. I just have to keep improving myself so i can do perform better and get better results. My colleagues are absolutely fun people. Very eccentric and crazy. Except on guy, who's leaving. When I first joined he had this thing for me. When I say 'thing' I don't mean a crush. He hated my guts. Jealous that my boss treats me better. Oh well... office politics. I'm better off with out it.

Anyway back to work. Lots to do. Hope to write in more often.

XOXO
